Why we exist
Advocates should not have to re-brief every tool.
A matter begins as an order, petition, notice, case file, client narrative or manually entered detail. As work moves forward, its facts and sources are often scattered across folders, messages, research tabs and drafts.
LawByHeart connects those pieces around a durable matter record. Court data can enrich that record when available, but the workspace does not stop when an external service does. The advocate remains responsible for confirmation and judgment.
How we build

Origin should stay visible
Official records, advocate-confirmed details and system inferences should not be presented as though they carry the same authority.
Work must remain reviewable
Sources, material facts and next actions should be inspectable before an advocate relies on them.
Boundaries are product features
When a source is unavailable or a step needs professional judgment, the interface should say so plainly.
